All builds are backed by actual game data including damage multipliers, tier rankings, and character passives. Choose a build that matches your playstyle or skill level.

🎮

Build #1: The Beginner AoE Clearer

Best Character: The Warrior (S-tier)

The Warrior's rapid XP accumulation passive makes it the ultimate beginner character. You'll reach your first evolutions 30-50% faster than other characters, giving you access to powerful abilities before enemy difficulty scales. The "Evolution Specialist" role means you can experiment with different fusion combinations and recover quickly from mistakes.

Essential Evolutions (Priority Order):

  1. 1. Bomb (Burn + Iron) - Your first priority evolution. The 2.0x damage multiplier and 150-300 AoE damage make this the strongest early-game evolution. This evolution alone can carry you through the first three biomes.
  2. 2. Magma (Burn + Earthquake) - The 1.8x damage multiplier with ground-based lingering damage provides excellent area denial. Perfect for holding chokepoints and controlling enemy movement.
  3. 3. Sandstorm (Earthquake + Wind) - The lingering vortex with slow effect (1.6x damage) creates persistent damage zones while slowing enemies, giving your other evolutions more time to work.
  4. 4. Frozen Flame (Freeze + Burn) - The 25% damage amplification makes ALL your other damage sources more effective. Get this mid-run for exponential damage scaling.
  5. 5. Blizzard (Freeze + Lightning) - The 1.7x damage multiplier with radius freeze and chain damage provides crowd control when things get hectic.

Building Priorities:

  1. Bag Maker - Extra ball slot for more evolutions
  2. Gold Mine x2 - Passive income for future upgrades
  3. Antique Shop - Choose specific passive items
  4. The Shieldbearer's House - Unlock next S-tier character
  5. Farm x3 - Wheat production for advanced buildings

Playstyle:

Focus on getting Bomb as quickly as possible (within first 5 minutes). Layer Magma on the ground where enemies will walk, then use Sandstorm to slow them in the damage zones. Add Frozen Flame mid-run to amplify all damage by 25%, then finish with Blizzard for freeze control. Play aggressively - The Warrior's fast evolution access means you'll outscale enemies quickly.

✅ Strengths:

  • • Extremely forgiving for new players
  • • Fast evolution access compensates for mistakes
  • • Strong early, mid, and late game scaling

❌ Weaknesses:

  • • Less effective against single tanky bosses
  • • Requires understanding of fusion system
  • • Performance can suffer with many effects
🛡️

Build #2: The Immortal Tank

Best Characters: The Shieldbearer or Pit Guardian (S-tier)

The Shieldbearer's exceptional defense with damage reduction makes runs incredibly forgiving. You can survive situations that would kill other characters. Alternatively, Pit Guardian provides extra armor in pits (where most combat happens), making them virtually unkillable in standard combat arenas.

Essential Evolutions (Priority Order):

  1. 1. Bomb (Burn + Iron) - Massive AoE damage (2.0x multiplier) combined with defensive playstyle creates a "walk into danger and explode everything" strategy.
  2. 3. Hemorrhage (Iron + Bleed) - Counter-attack evolution that causes enemies to take bleed damage when hitting you. Turn their aggression into your damage source.
  3. 4. Frozen Flame (Freeze + Burn) - The 25% damage amplification makes all your defensive evolutions hit harder.
  4. 5. Magma (Burn + Earthquake) - Stand in Magma pools while enemies attack you - you take reduced damage while they burn.

Playstyle:

Face-tank everything. Position yourself in the center of enemy groups and let your AoE evolutions do the work. Create Magma pools at chokepoints, stand in them with Hemorrhage active, and watch enemies kill themselves attacking you. This build rewards aggressive positioning - don't dodge, don't run, just walk forward and explode things.

✅ Strengths:

  • • Virtually unkillable
  • • Extremely forgiving for mistakes
  • • Can face-tank boss attacks

❌ Weaknesses:

  • • Slower clear speed than pure DPS builds
  • • Less mobile than speed-based characters
  • • Counter-attack requires enemies to hit first
⚔️

Build #3: The Boss Killer Burst Build

Best Character: The Itchy Finger (S-tier)

The 2x fire rate passive creates the highest potential DPS in the game. Every evolution you acquire fires twice as fast, effectively doubling your damage output. The ability to move while attacking provides exceptional positioning control for dodging boss mechanics.

Essential Evolutions (Priority Order):

  1. 1. Nuclear Bomb (Bomb + Poison) - Two-step evolution with 3.0x damage multiplier. The massive AoE explosion becomes TWICE as effective with doubled fire rate.
  2. 2. Firestorm (Burn + Wind) - The 1.8x fire tornado fires twice as fast. Create overlapping fire tornadoes that cover the entire arena.
  3. 3. Shadow Strike (Dark + Ghost) - The 2.5x instant critical damage fires at 2x speed. Exceptional boss damage with phase-through.
  4. 4. Frozen Flame (Freeze + Burn) - The 25% damage amplification applies to all your doubled attacks, creating exponential damage scaling.

Playstyle:

Maximize your fire rate advantage. Build toward Nuclear Bomb as quickly as possible (get Bomb first, then add Poison). Use Shadow Strike to focus down priority targets while your other evolutions handle adds. Kite boss attacks while firing - you can move and attack simultaneously, so there's no downtime.

✅ Strengths:

  • • Highest DPS in the game
  • • Exceptional boss damage
  • • Mobile playstyle allows dodging while attacking

❌ Weaknesses:

  • • Requires good positioning skills
  • • Squishy - lower survivability than tanks
  • • Multi-step evolutions require planning
⚖️

Build #4: The Safe Balanced Progression

Best Character: The Physicist (S-tier)

The Physicist provides steady, reliable damage with excellent fire synergies. Starting with Light ball opens unique evolution paths, particularly the path to Black Hole (the ultimate crowd control evolution). Very forgiving for new players with a clear progression path.

Essential Evolutions (Priority Order):

  1. 1. Sun (Light + Burn) - First evolution. The 1.8x radiant damage is strong, but more importantly, it's required for Black Hole.
  2. 2. Black Hole (Sun + Dark) - Two-step ultimate evolution. The 3.5x damage multiplier is the second-highest in the game. Pulls all enemies to center for devastating combos.
  3. 3. Frozen Flame (Freeze + Burn) - Makes Sun and Black Hole hit 25% harder.
  4. 4. Bomb (Burn + Iron) - Reliable AoE synergizes with Black Hole's pull mechanic - pull enemies together, then explode them.
  5. 5. Blizzard (Freeze + Lightning) - Crowd control when Black Hole is on cooldown. Freeze groups, then Black Hole pulls them together.

Playstyle:

Methodical and steady. Your goal is Sun first, then Black Hole as soon as you acquire a Dark ball. While building toward Black Hole, use Sun's radiant damage and Bomb's AoE to clear enemies safely. Once you achieve Black Hole, position it to pull enemies into a central point, then layer your other evolutions on that point.

✅ Strengths:

  • • Clear progression path (no guesswork)
  • • Ultimate evolution (Black Hole) is game-changing
  • • Balanced offense and defense

❌ Weaknesses:

  • • Weaker early game before Sun evolution
  • • Reliant on acquiring Dark ball for Black Hole
  • • Less specialized than pure tank or DPS builds

Build #5: The Advanced Speedrun Build

Best Character: The Shade (A-tier)

The 10% base critical hit chance with Dark ball instant-kill on weakened enemies creates high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Critical chance scales with crit-focused builds for exponential damage. Advanced players can chain executes across multiple weakened enemies.

Essential Evolutions (Priority Order):

  1. 1. Shadow Strike (Dark + Ghost) - The 2.5x instant critical damage synergizes perfectly with the 10% base crit chance. Hits backline targets with critical burst damage.
  2. 3. Black Hole (Sun + Dark) - Pull all enemies together, then use your crit-focused evolutions to delete the cluster. The instant-kill mechanic triggers constantly when enemies are grouped.
  3. 4. Incubus (Charm + Dark) - Part of multi-step evolution chain for Satan (4.0x damage, highest in game).
  4. 5. Virus (Poison + Ghost) - The 1.9x auto-spreading disease provides consistent damage while your burst evolutions are on cooldown.

Playstyle:

Aggressive and fast-paced. Use Shadow Strike to burst down priority targets and chain across groups. The Shade rewards weakening enemies and executing them with Dark ball's instant-kill mechanic. Position aggressively to maximize crit opportunities. The 10% base crit chance means roughly 1 in 10 attacks crit - crit-focused passive items can push this to 25-30% or higher.

✅ Strengths:

  • • Highest skill ceiling
  • • Fastest clear speed when played well
  • • Satisfying execute mechanics

❌ Weaknesses:

  • • High skill floor - challenging for beginners
  • • Squishy - requires dodging
  • • Execute mechanic only works on weakened enemies

Universal Tips for All Builds

📊 Evolution Priority

Always prioritize S-tier evolutions (Bomb, Magma, Sandstorm, Blizzard, Black Hole, Nuclear Bomb, Holy Laser, Mosquito King, Virus, Frozen Flame). These have the highest damage multipliers and most impactful effects.

🏗️ Building Strategy

Build Bag Maker first (extra ball slot), then 2-3 Gold Mines (passive income), then Antique Shop (passive item consistency). After these core buildings, focus on character houses for S-tier characters.

🎯 Character Synergy

Check each character's best_fusions. For example, The Warrior synergizes with Bomb, Magma, Sandstorm, and Blizzard. Build toward your character's recommended fusions for optimal synergy.

⛓️ Two-Step Evolutions

Some ultimate evolutions (Nuclear Bomb, Black Hole, Holy Laser, Satan, Nosferatu) require evolving once, then evolving that evolution again. Plan your ball slots accordingly.
